Welcome to OlehPhone! OlehPhone uses your broadband Internet connection to enable you to place and receive telephone calls. Besides offering significant cost savings, Internet telephony offers access to a range of features that cannot be offered via conventional lines. OlehPhone specializes in making these features available to you, while still saving you money each and every month.

To use OlehPhone, you'll need a broadband Internet connection, such as DSL (provided via telephone lines) or cable Internet. Your computer does not need to be on when you use the service -- you can use OlehPhone exactly the same way you use regular service. You'll just pay a lot less! You can even bring your current phone number with you when you switch to OlehPhone.

If you already have a router, which is a device that lets more than one computer share an Internet connection, then you'll need an adapter that plugs into that router and offers one or two telephone ports for conventional phones. OlehPhone will provide you with an adapter for as long as you use the service.

If you have a broadband connection but do not have a router for more than one computer or other device, OlehPhone can also provide a combined router and adapter that has both telephone ports and connections for up to four computers built in.

You can also use the service with a specially-manufactured Internet phone or wireless Internet phone. OlehPhone representatives can help you configure these devices to work with OlehPhone.

OlehPhone uses technology that turns your voice into a stream of data, similar to a web page or email message. Computers at the other end convert the data stream back into sound signals, sent over the regular phone network or directly to a user of OlehPhone or another service. By sending calls as data packets, Voice-over-IP (or "VoIP") technology is considerably less expensive to use. Only rarely can you notice the difference from regular phone calls -- in fact, when calling internationally you'll probably notice that you and the other party can hear each other better than before. And you'll be saving a bundle!
